“Success can be achieved only through repeated failure and introspection.” —Soichiro Honda
Yes, Mr. Honda, we concur. Take for instance the event portal constructed for the new Lollapalooza franchise. The super-awesome idea of impounding giant, fan-driven balloons within a 36′ scaff-tower compound seemed the perfect solution (aka: cost-friendly) for greeting festival-goers in Chicago. Hit the switch, and folks watched with amazement as the colorful, happy balloons impaled themselves on surfaces riddled with minute, sharp edges. The learning part of this exercise was filling the structure with damn balloons all weekend. (Insert introspection here.)
